Some rural fences
Today we took a train trip up country and these are a couple of the fences at the final stop before returning. They are just fence posts and #8 wire, which is typical fencing on farms in New Zealand.
I hope you can see the fine line of the wire.

This bottom fence baffled me - the posts are about
6 foot high with a single strand of #8 wire along the top.
It's certainly not to keep stock in...or out.

Old style cray pot
made from suplejack
Spotted on the Moeraki Coast, East Coast of the South Island of New Zealand,
while we were out and about a few years ago.
My husband used to help his uncle make these pots when he was a boy,
so he was really interested to find this.

Melville Park School
The newly painted fence took my eye
one day while I was out walking.
It leads through the lane where my kids walked
down to their primary school when they were just little.
The entry gates, straight ahead to the classrooms,
or turn left to drop off your bike at the
bike sheds behind the dental clinic.
This is all that is left of the school now,
one building section. Sad.
